The first consultation generally lasts between 1 hour – 1 hour and a half. The patient will be asked about their reason for visiting, diet and general lifestyle as well as their relevant past medical history. During this appointment the Medical Herbalist takes a full case history and may also wish to undertake some tests or refer the patient for additional tests with a GP or privately. It is advised that the patient bring any recent relevant tests to this initial appointment along with a list of any current medications and/or supplements being taken.
