Bone Health & Support

Bone Health & Support

A sturdy tea blend to improve joint mobility, promote overall bone health and the body’s natural flexibility, all while reducing pain, swelling and easing discomfort.

What's inside & why?

Guaiacum, St John Wort, Valerian, Oat Straw, Red Sage & Horsetail.

Why?

Guaiacum: An anti-inflammatory that promotes circulation and clears toxins from tissues. Is specific for rheumatic complaints, especially where inflammation and pain is present. It is used in chronic rheumatism and rheumatoid arthritis, particularly when an astringent is needed. It will aid in the treatment of gout and may be used as a preventative in it’s occurrence. Promotes excretion of uric acid. Can be used internally and topically for gout, joint pain and swelling, chronic rheumatism, RA, OA, duputyrens contracture. Increases circulation and eases pain when rubbed into painful joints.

St John Wort: St. John's wort contains compounds like hypericin and hyperforin, which are known for their anti-inflammatory effects, potentially contributing to its ability to alleviate joint pain.

Valerian: As an antispasmodic it has a muscle relaxing effect on smooth and skeletal muscles, and will aid in the relief of cramping, neuralgias and intestinal colic. As a pain reliever it is most indicated where that pain is associated with tension, such as in migraines. It carries no risk of dependency and does not effect mental concentration.

Oat Straw: is high in silica & minerals & has connective tissue restorative qualities for bones, muscles, tendons & nerves. The high levels of silicic acid in the straw explain its use as a remedy for skin condition, especially in external applications.

Red Sage: Red sage, also known as Danshen in Chinese, is used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat bone problems, particularly osteoporosis, due to its potential to prevent bone loss. A compound found in red sage, called Tanshinone IIA sulfonic sodium (T06), can selectively block an enzyme called Cathepsin K (CatK), which plays a crucial role in breaking down collagen in bones during osteoporosis. This compound can also suppress bone resorption and increase bone mineral density.

Horsetail: Horsetail is used in bone medication, particularly for conditions like osteoporosis, due to its high silica content and potential to support bone health. Silica helps with collagen synthesis, improves calcium absorption, and is essential for bone formation and density. Some studies suggest that horsetail may inhibit osteoclasts (cells that break down bone) and stimulate osteoblasts (cells that build bone), potentially contributing to bone regeneration.
